Attention Former Graduates (and their parents)

Notice:   INACTIVE Special Education Records

The Vail School District Special Education Office is in the process of destroying SPECIAL EDUCATION records for students that graduated from high school five years ago. We are required to notify parents or students, if they are 18 years or older, to give them an opportunity to review the records before they are destroyed. If you believe that you or your child might have Special Education records and would like to review them, please contact Cindy Cahill at 879-2051 or email at . Records are due to be destroyed on March 1, 2017.

Reminder: Apply for Free or Reduced Lunch

Your child may qualify for free or reduced price meals

July is a busy time of the year for parents. Parents are reviewing budgets for school related purchases such as clothing, school supplies, getting children ready for the upcoming school schedule and getting prepared to support many daily activities such as homework and after school activities. Your food service department is here to help relieve another one of the common causes of stress: having to budget for your child’s meals. This way you can focus on the other areas that require your attention.

How can we help? By finding out if your child qualifies for free or reduced priced meals for this upcoming school year. This is why filling out a National School Lunch Program application as soon as possible is very important! Otherwise you may find yourself paying for full price meals when your child could have been receiving a free or reduced price meal!

Don’t forget, if your child does qualify for a free or reduced price meal, this applies not only to lunch, but to breakfast as well. So take advantage of both meal programs! Want to find out if your child qualifies for a free or reduced price meal? Fill out an application today!

How to apply for free or reduced lunch:

Visit or your school office for a free and reduced meal application and information on how you can take full advantage of this helpful program.

We would like to notify you that tonight’s Info Night that was previously scheduled for the APHS commons has been cancelled. Parents are invited to attend one of the two alternate meetings scheduled tonight, at either Mesquite Elementary School (in the library at 6:00pm) or Cottonwood/Desert Sky (in the CWE library at 4:30pm).  See flyer below for more information.
